2nd January San Francisco Bay Area voltage sag Monday Jan 28, 2019 at 4:55PM
Monday January 28th, 2019 4:55PM – Late Monday afternoon January 28th, the ongoing atmospheric river conditions in the San Francisco Bay area resulted in another voltage sag that affected customers throughout the region. Grid voltage sagged to 83% of normal for 3.96 cycles, about 0.5 tenths of a second. PG&E found a flashed insulator, which will be replaced by the utility.
Customers reported impact from this power quality event only on their sensitive loads and equipment. Currently, no utility root cause has been determined.
