
January Winter Storm brings Power Disturbances to Bay Area
Tuesday January 8th, 2019 12:45AM – Early Tuesday morning January 8th, the winter storm caused a major power fault on the PG&E transmission system. This PQ event manifested itself for most customers as a voltage sag Tuesday January 8th, 2019 at 12:44:05 AM. The voltage sagged to 77% of normal for 7.5 cycles, or about one tenth of a second.
Customers reported impact from this event only on their sensitive loads and equipment. Currently, no utility root cause has been determined.
