June 16, 2019 4:32AM – San Francisco Bay Area Voltage Sag
On Sunday June 16th around 4:30 in the morning, the San Francisco Bay area experienced a transmission level voltage sag that woke up customers who manage critical facilities throughout the region. The grid voltage sagged to 75% of normal for 6 cycles, or about 1/10 of a second.
Luckily customers reported little to no impact from this power quality event, most only capturing the event on their most sensitive loads and equipment. No utility root cause has yet been reported.
