California South Bay Region experienced a Power Quality (PQ) Sag Event
10/27/2018 6:51:05 AM– A system-wide Power Quality Event was experienced in the South Bay Area. Voltage was 66% for 3.96 cycles.

Being prepared with the addition of Power Quality Meters and an Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) allows your facility to see the unseen. In short, the ability to see the effects and reactions your facility has a Power Quality event will give your team control of the unseen.

Power Quality | The Bottom Line
Incidents like this can have impacts upon your facilities production and impact the bottom line. For instance, can you predict if your facility equipment will cause this issue? Or was it a result of the power grid feeding your facility? With the installation of a few metering devices in your facility electrical distribution system you will never have to guess what the answer is to this question. Power Quality Events occur more often than you would think. Even though the power wasn’t a 100% Sag Voltage or power loss, it can still impact your facility.

As a result, electrical metering has become a more economical in the last few years. Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) consist of servers, software, communications cables, and meters or devices measuring electricity and energy consumption. EPMS is an excellent way to monitor, report and notify facility teams in real time the status of any electrical system. So, why leave it to chance?
